Standards & Verification
Editorial Policy
Our sourcing protocols, information architecture, and correction guidelines for coffee gear specifications.
Data Sourcing and Spec Extraction
- Primary Documentation
- Technical data is drawn from official user manuals, manufacturer schematics, direct spec sheets, and retailer engineering listings.
- Flagged Unknowns
- If a manufacturer omits critical metrics—such as precise retention, decibel output, or burr alloy—we label that item as "Unknown" rather than inferring performance.
Correction Protocol
- Identification: When a manufacturer updates a product specification, discontinues a revision, or when an error is noticed in our comparisons, the entry is flagged for immediate review.
- Verification: The revision is verified against updated documentation or direct seller manuals.
- Notation: Corrections that impact routine compatibility, clearance dimensions, or electrical needs are updated in place with clear revision timestamps on the respective guide.
Editorial Integrity & Commercial Separation
Our editorial assessments follow standardized criteria based on small-kitchen constraints, power demands, and budget categories. Commercial partnerships or affiliate networks do not determine which products receive praise or which spec tradeoffs are highlighted.
